About Me

Hello!  I am Rachel Ross and I am an elementary teacher in Southern California.  I got my bachelor's degree and teaching credential from Cal State San Marcos, and later earned my Master's in Teaching and Education from Cal Baptist University.  I've taught grades K-2 and have learned so much from my fellow teachers and students.  I started in Irvine USD as an instructional assistant and long-term substitute, spent a couple years in Palm Desert teaching in Desert Sands USD, and am now back in Orange County as a 1st grade teacher.  I love teaching, baking, crafting, and bright colors, especially pink!  I spend my free time playing golf and hanging out with my family.  My family is truly incredible and I'm so grateful for their unconditional love, inspiration and support.

I have just began my teaching career, the last couple years have been challenging, eye-opening, and amazing!  I loved my first school and had the most wonderful and supportive Kinder team.  It was at this school that I learned the importance and impact of effective collaboration.  I take a lot of pictures and started blogging as a way to record the classroom lessons and activities.  I have enjoyed sharing ideas and learned a lot from other teacher bloggers, the TPT store and Pinterest.  The blogging world is truly amazing!
